The ANWB camping guide awards Camping Brunner am See with the highest mark 9.5 out of a possible 10 points for the sanitary facilities * The manageable size of the resort allows you to keep an “eye” on your children. No road separates the campsite from the shallow sandy beach. The area around the Millstätter See reaches from 560 meters up to 2100 meters and belongs to the NATIONALPARK NOCKBERGE, one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the Alps. With the “KÄRNTEN CARD”, which is available locally at extremely favorable conditions, you have about 100 top excursion destinations included (mountain roads, lifts, museums, children’s attractions …..) CLIMATE: Carinthia is shielded from bad weather fronts from the north/west by the high mountains of the Hohe Tauern and opens towards the south. Warm air from the Mediterranean can flow in almost unhindered. The swimming season usually starts at the beginning of May and lasts until the end of September (lake temperature in summer up to 27 degrees). The classic hiking season with excellent distant views is autumn.
